  • Made a high price at the Tattersalls part 1 sales.
  • Third season sire made excellent start in 2003 with 2yos with a lot of winners and plenty of quality. 2004 was a real step back  with less runners and just 7 average to moderate winners. 2005 likely to be closer to 2004 than 2003.
  • Sire ok for 5f but winners tend to be from May onwards and has a poor debut win record. 
  • Dam was a useful sprint 2yo for R Hannon. She had produced two solid spirnt winners and then R Hannon had a Group 2 winner with her latest foal.
  • First 2yo runner of the season for a good trainer with the best raw material and resources available. Before 2004 he used to train only the occasional 2yo as Darley/Godolphin used D Loder for their 2yo trainig. In 2004 they took the 2yo training 'in house' and Mr Suroor jumped into second place in the individual 2yos run table with 91. Of those 48 won and the strike rate was around 30%.
  • He targets maiden wins in the first two runs and the better 2yos step up to high class races.
  • His first runners in 2004 were at a similar time of the season at the York Dante meeting. He had 4 debuts in May and the two York debut were beaten and won STO before the end of May. The other two debuts included one FTO winner and one very disappointing filly who was an expensive US 2yo buy. Two of the four ran at Royal Ascot but were useful types rather than the stable 'stars'.
  • In summary likely to be a better type and a good sign that she is an early debut. Debut runs tend to be very competent although not fully wound up and can usually place, at least, in a race of this quality. Very well drawn in 15.  Profile [74]
