BACKGROUND NOTES :-

1986 foal. Owned by Sheikh Mohammed and trained in France by A. Fabre winning seven races from 7f to 8f, all at 3yo. Unplaced on sole run at 2yo and won his first seven starts at 3yo including two 8f Group 1 wins.
To stud in 1990 and a good record with major highlights like Pilsudski (multiple Group/Grade 1 winner up to 12f), Rakti (Group 1 up to 12f ) & Pure Grain (Irish Oaks) supported by a number of Group 2 winning middle distance types. However, his general record is mixed and his popularity has decreased in recent years.
In line with his own race record his results with British raced 2yos have usually been below average and have declined to a poor record in the last two seasons with just one winner from 21 representatives. Can get winners at 6f upwards from May.
16 yearlings sold in 2005 for a relatively low average around 13,000gns. No winners from 9 British raced 2yos in 2006 and 15 yearlings sold for a 27,000 guineas average.
