SUMMARY

2Moderate time and form with an average pace overall. Professional performance with A5 from Barzan enough to beat newcomers & limted rival with previous form. Problems for 4 of the newcomers.
Barzan settle in 5th early with Going French 6th 1.5L behind & DPhantom 2L back after slow break & green when asked to pick-up. L-o-3 early with STPot, Hairspray & MUno but all held by jockeys & pulling. D'Urberville lost 2L at start & took off around field to pass held L-o-3 & pull clear to the downhill section. Lean in on L-o-3 as go past & STP squeezed out, MUno held back & Hairspray follow D'Urb.
Barz & DPhant make progress wide just before halfway to close pack up. GFrench 2L off pack at Hf.
Efforst start downhill & GFrench make best move to get to lead before the last 1F & briefly outpace Barzan whom he overtook. Barzan respond well & led at 1F out & pair go clear to line.
D'Urberville run too freely & 2L clear at Hf & fade badly. A small, strong type but not OR70+. Check NTO for OR60s with better control.
Hairspray small and compact. Sprinter if anything but size an issue. Very fizzy & bouncy in prelims & held by jockey when this show as free-running in race. 5f & use what pace she has?
DPhantom one of 2 poor debuts for trainer on day as 1st 2yo runners. Lose 5L+ at start & v green. Progress mid-race but soon fade then unbalanced on camber. Check NTO
STPot small & prob limited. MUno unathletic & podgy.
