SUMMARY
2Good pace helped by three of five hooking up early and a solid test of abilities. Angel's Pursuit a Hannon debut winner at a time when he starts a lot of horses off including some of the best he has. Won this race last year with OR90+ Saucy Brown. Market said this one was good and an expensive breeze-up purchase. Market said that Dahakaa was ok but not a higher class debut for 'Ready FTO' trainer.
Papageno ran wrong side at FOLK on lost debut. Allowed to run too freely here along far rail. Stalling by 2f out and blew up before 1f out. Faded & ended up finishing behind the tiny Back On. That one outpaced from the start because of lack of size & oomph & around 10L back at halfway.
Mijas Playa proven OR76-84 filly but not helped here by making an effort to join Papageno and pressing the pace. Saw him off but stalling herself towards the final 1f. Hang on to lead through fitness & resolve until headed 0.5f out but better with more resrint.
Dahakaa added to this L-o-3 by joining the other pair and pulling his way up to them. Ran freely andfaded a little more than Mijas Playa.
APursuit given a good S&P ride held in 2L behind leaders at halfway. Very heavily built & powerful took time to balance himself & get past leaders. Unbalanced when pulled out & changing lead leg more than usual. Can do much better when tighter & tracked pace comfortably enough. OR90+ at least & Royal Ascot next.
Dahakaa look solid OR80s & type = ok favourite in lesser maiden.
