SUMMARY

2Firm going with no watering possible at the course. Slower time than similar fillies' race on track on Firm in previous year's including Aide Memoir's sub-70s run in equivalent race in 2007
Early pace average at best with Ishipink hard held after too free FTO & Carries Lass pottery again on firm ground. Other newcomers not want to lead. FIFO able to go wide right from outside draw but not lose ground & come back to join held line. Pressed on fom 2 out & dropped others aside from Nina Rose who is smaller but responded well to line.
FIFO prob OR74 type & Nina Rose close to best here & moderate improvement potential. Poor fades from others & no promise for surface.
FIFO supported here against Jaber Abdullah owned newcomer for BJ Meehan. Earlier in week a Channon favourite (Ailsa Carmel) drift in a similar set-up with the Meehan trained newcomer Lady Of The Desert supported & winning. Abdullah a friend of Channon's & had many of his best horses with him. Presume some information exchange before races.
Clive Cox had poor 2008 with illness problems with string. Has had all horses in good condition & form this year & 2yos have all been ready physically FTO. Must be some duff ones coming out soon but watch for batch of better fillies soon. Leicester in mid-June his normal target to start the best of his 6-7f fillies. Nina Rose probably a lower OR70s & non-dev type.
