SUMMARY

2A weak looking field and a slow time. Any Day a small, ready 2yo, compact and no scope. Ran much more professional race here and she presumably ran to her best and is claimer type at best. Unable to close on Art Jewel in the straight despite a good run through the race.
Art Jewel tail flashing as she cantered to post and through the race. Not a reaction to the whip or other horses but just a mannerism on her overall appearance. Looked a bit green and given a forcing pacesetting ride by Spencer and given a hard time and whipped in the straight. A 'Today' ride to get the win with a limited and/or tricky one rather than a 'nice intro' for the future.
6 horses go forward from start and abreast to bend downhill. From rail out AJ-AD-SV-Forg-Boga-BC. 3 of Jockeys take action drop out of Lo6 and drop-in = SV-For-Boga. Leading Lo3 downhill and Spencer move off rail & others taken wider. BC lose ground and fade downhill to straight. This left AJ & AD to sort win out between them in straight.
DDeb always adrift. Boga lost ground downhill and very mild response in straight. SV some progress downhill after drop in but fade straight.
A poor race when by a suspect filly who was bigger than the only professional one. Fillies to avoid.
