SUMMARY

21.32s Faster than preceding Novice race with this winner carrying 5lbs more. The Novice race 'Fell Apart' with runners finishing tired and suggesting ground holding and against free runners & pace forcers. One extra subtlety being that the Novice race suggested a Stands' rail bias & this race confirm it. Racing off the pace on the rail a strong advantage.
Drumpellier run freely & drag 4 who went far side along too quickly for conditions. She was 2-3L clear of her group after 2F & all four ahead of Gillburg leading his Group. Other 3 horses to fill 1st 4 in last 3 places overall with winner on Golden Rail.
Rosedale ran ok given race shape. Cuthbert no response & not seem to handle going from early on.
GTed best on S-Hv & race fell right for him but this still looked an improvement. Gillburg helped by rail to persist but seems a resolute type now gelded & in blinkers.
LWNext up to 6f after running too free over 5f last twice. Held up & make real forward move 2f out. Not quite see race out in conditions but a good run and made effort 7-8 lanes off rail. Improving & has usable OR.
MCT still has good OR & run well and also make ground away from rail. Less pace than LWNext & took longer to progress but solid effort.
Gasparilla the other rail runner & helped her to 5th despite last 1F fade & OH2. First runner for Trainer after move of base. Small & no scope but ok run here.
