SUMMARY

2Firm ground & slower time for race. Winner drift in market & 2nd unfancied Fahey newcomer held up off pace & plug on late. Ignatieff in cheekpieces FT & ran freely as he had LTO at course. Pressed on with FGiles in a pair & the looked to fade together into the last furlong. Ignatieff hang left & take FGiles with him but that horse not responding anyway.
Perhaps some head wind effect with Whozecat tucked in behind leading pair & making ground comfortably on them as they stalled towards the final 1F. Whozecat won comfortably & can rate higher. Comes from a chaotic Doncaster race and faded there in a race where winner & second were outpaced in rear at halfway.
Orpen Arms a better debut for Fahey yard but lack of support suggest this was low level form & suspect form behind the winner with the first two in market failing to some extent.
4th & 5th horses through halfway also faded badly in Makbullet & Avonrose.
Kakapuka hang left to far rail at halfway & not in race afterwards. Burtondale Boy an early runner for stable who ran ok types by April 10th in 2008. Some each-way support but never going forward after restrained early.
Difficult race to sum up & might be poor form. Winner can rate higher but watch rest for present.
