SUMMARY

2The race looked a strong one in profile and the time for the race and the shape of the result suggest it fulfilled the promise. The time for the race was faster than the later Claimer by nearly 3 seconds. The Claimer for older horses was won by Harry Up in 0.9s slower carrying 20lbs more. A stiff headwind on the day might have been variable but the first three fillies in this race look to have put up close to lower Listed level runs.
DL make effort to cross from Natural Draw 7 to rail & set stiff pace. Drifted to stands' side in straight which worked well in general on day. AL drawn outside & chase DL across to go around bend in 2nd 1 wide. This is a bad Run Style with 1 win from 50+ races for horse second through halfway off the rail. AL keep going well in straight until a late fade. Ran centre track in straight.
A'valley lose 2L+ on run to bend with 2 x bumps and get around 4L back in 5th. 3rd to straight and sustained run wide in stright to close on DL to the line.
Strong form & three fillies to follow if time is correct. Diamond Laura probably ran to best. A'valley can improve for putting complete race together. AL should rate solidly higher given this her first effort. First 3 clear of solid fillies for level.
