SUMMARY
Stalls stands side and field race close to stands rail. Unsatisfactory race to some extent with below average pace and develop into 2F+ sprint. Little change in positions with 1st three home the first three at halfway and sorted in out between them. Lot of inexperience shown by others and 4th-7th home finish in a clump that the first three got a jump on as the efforts made. Last two home show most greenness and adrift inside 2F out. Which means pace not really separate field out and might be ok ones in the clump who develop better than the others but not obvious because given an easy time. A few thoughts.
BB look less than willing or just still green and not wanting to go to the lead. Strong finish and do well to make 3L+ but attitude look a bit suspect. Trainer tends to get more than the average number of buzzy, sweaty types. OR80+ but will he fulfil the promise.
Jaahiz disappointed after debut in what seemed a strong maiden. FTO run may well be over-rated but also possible the pace of race against him here. Debut run was a strong finish once he got organised into a group who had gone for it at a strong pace. Exact opposite here and came over as a 7f+ type better for a stronger pace. See if he is up in distance next time and worth another chance.
Memorabilia a suspect third place given he got a soft lead on the rail for no effort. Outpaced by front pair and not that far clear of the greenery. Not one to follow in an Open Maiden NTO and probably something behind him here that could beat him given an even start.
MSM smaller and flash because of dark colouring. Not move well when asked for effort and always offering to hang left. Drift in Market and not look a strong profile to progress.
Azrael presumably flattered by way race went and another suspect bit of form. Trainer not going with 2yos at all yet. Check NTO whether this 4th was anything more than being more competent than the really incompetent ones.
Mubtadi would probably be the favourite to emerge from the midfield clump to be the Open Maiden competitive one. Talked up by trainer in early season and said to be similar ability to Maher who was third at Newmarket earlier in the day on debut. Trainer now more of a develop with racing one except with high class ones and Mubtadi too Clueless to get involved.
CQ whipped early to get the horse's attention and threatening to drift away in later race with the garbage. But responding into the last furlong and might have got to 4th or 5th with a clear run. Again, that form not amount to much but see how this midfield clump develop. A surprise if it is stuffed with Maiden winners.
