SUMMARY

HV as it had been 2 days piror. 4mm of rain overnight. Going Stick reading from 07:00am.

Stiff Westerly Wind = Three-Quarter Headwind from the Left.

Stalls Centre. Main Group raced Centre then drifted across to Far Rail after 2.5F. Santo Prince free early and taken to far rail alone after 1F and joined by main group later. Pace not that strong and vertical spread less than 3L at halfway and field still mostly together 2F out. But, testing conditions meant 3.5 of 7 runners 'gone' by 1F out and extended distances at the line. Strong effort by the first two home to hook up 1.5F+ out and battle to the line and going further clear having been 4-5L clear inside the last 1F. Hardy Red held up in last and an ok effort to clear 3rd and chasing leading pair until fading in the last 0.5f.
