As a juvenile won 2 of his 6 outings beginning with a minor 7f race at Clairefontaine in August on his second run. In September in his fourth start he won a minor 8f race at Maison-Laffittes. Two later starts produced a second in a 9f Group 3 races and the same place in the 10f Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud behind Full Gold.
