More from the 'you could not make-it-up' files. Just Marion finally gets ugly win here in a heaped finish and poor form. But, a plus for Evans in that he has got her attitude back to being more positive. But, in the post race auction she attracted 'No Bid'. Nobody wanted her for for even basement money. 2 of the others were claimed for £8,000. Meanwhile, over at the new 'London Sale' Goffs are running at KTNA on the eve of Royal Ascot Mick Channon is at getting inflated prices for small fillies. Loretta Martin just beat a very tired JM at BTON in April in one of the worst maidens run so far. JM's win here the first subsequent win. LM no bigger than JM and hasn't run since and nop evidence she is even a 60s filly. Yet she sells for £70,000 to a Mr Ghazali. Evans should have put JM away after that 2nd and put her in the London Sale. Where a lot of inflated prices seem to have been paid.



Looked like a stiff pace for the quality on the Final Positions compared with Haflway. Pressing Line-of-4 broke up in the last 2F giving those in 2R difficulty of finding a gap through. Just Marion looking a bit unwilling at times and niggled/driven for most of race. Found a way out to get to the lead late with the Deep Closers getting into first 4 by the line. JM a small and limited one with no scope but 50s ability. Overhauled the poor moving Shamrock Sheila who found a cleaner run through from 2R to lead but No Interest. Ciaras Cokkie doing best of the Pressers and running better as a Pacemaker and so chance in a weak seller, say 5f with a less contested lead. WTRB report for Basil The Great saying he ran too free but the Evans pair of CC and As A Dream survived better from the L-o-4 and a poor effort from BTG beyond that excuse.

3 newcomers in 3rd-5th as Deep Closers with Summaer Stroll green and adrift at Halfway and green as late progress not hard pressed. Shar Shar a bit more size than the average. But a question over what they achieved. Diminutive an WTRB report saying denied a clear run and didn't find a clean run through from midfield as the pace folded back. But usable 50s at best,
