SUMMARY
GGS from GS on Decs. Medium SW Wind = 3/4 Tailwind From the Right.

Fahey in SL piece pre-race = "Division two looks the warmer heat. If Elizabeth Ernest ran in the other race [Div I] I’d have fancied her but Kevin Ryan’s filly Al Ghuwariyah will be hard to beat here. My horse will win her maiden and if the favourite runs badly she might be there to pick up the pieces.."

Jockey Mulrennan on the C4 Morning Line programme and highlighted Secret Liaison as one his best two rides of the day and said the trainer thought she was a good one. Tate's only two FTO wins in first 2 seasons have been after mid-season with early runners competitive to place but a bit lacking in either nous or firness to press home a win in a solid maiden. This his 5th debut of 2014 after a batch of 4 during May 4-5th. First two of those well beaten although one tiny trier was 3rd through halfway. The two on May 5th competed well and both 2nd at Hf. Smaller zippy one dropped to 5th but a v good FTO by Free Entry who pulled clear with Clouds Rest (won Conds NTO).

Looked a stiff pace with two adrift from early one. 5 fillies in formation at Halfway next to the rail didn't change places to the line which suggests a Time Trial race shape. One complication is the amount of HgL int he last 2F with LM going left early and carying Tarando with her to be beyond Centre line as the finish. SLiaison running the rail better until drifting off it late in the last 1f (making the difference?). Time 1.32s slower than Div I and this winner would have been 3rd in that race just on Final Time.

Lily Moreton a 3rd filly to win or place for trainer Wilson this year. The other two were unplaced and 2nd FTO and then won low level races STO recording 50s form levels. LM looking similar to those 2 in being a smaller and compact one. All 3 looking solid builds and LM perhaps the bulkiest of them. LM might have won this but for the hanging left. Jk using the whip in his left hand from soon inside the 2f out pole to try to stop the hanging. Made no difference on any occasion and you wonder if he had a 'Plan B' to try. Like putting the whip down and getting himself balanced or even let her go across to the far rail at full speed and un down that.
