SUMMARY

Odd set of Halfway to Final Positions given an Average pace and a bunch finish behind the winner. Pace perhaps upped before the 2f out mark but how Wide the field spread in the HS seemed another complicating factor. Field going around the Bend in a compact group of 3 filly ranks.

Interesting to compare the paths of Scent Of Summer & Silvery Blue with both making slow starts from wide draws. They in the last rank of 3 into the Bend with SoS 2Wd & SB 1Wd. SoS handling the bend better but then having to switch wide in the HS to make progress. SBlue able to start her effort earlier and able to run Far Side with the field fanning out across Centre track leaving the FrSd clear. SB justy an average closing effot and looking smaller medium. Better overall effort by SoS and looking a bigger filly than SB.
