SUMMARY
GFF in early am from F on decs. Course missed the rain on Saturday (long SW to NW tube moving along the length of its path and dry either side). 8mm Watering on Saturday.

No mention of any 'Rail Out' for the previous meeting when there was a lot of it. CoC reports for this meeting the Rail out by "up to 20ft" for the entire length of HS. (mm for watering but feet for distances... things never move on until old men/women die off).

=== Pre Race ===

Breeze Video for Peak Hill a mixed story. In the gather looks usable but a question over the size. Medium one a bit smaller? A bit leggy and uses his range. In the Breeze doesn't look to have proper control over the legginess yet. Just a medium cadence and the forelegs a bit high and a touch gallopy. A bit unbalanced at times and gets 'bounding' later on. Looks like he would go much better if his movement improves and he uses his range efficiently. Kirby rides PH with Cosgrave on Ochos Rios. OR of some interest just on circumstantials. Owner Clifford is 'something' in the Bibury Club that runs SALS racecourse. Evans has had 2yo winners for owner Clifford at SALS in each of the last 3 seasons. 2 of those were FTO wins at 50/1 & 33/1. The 50/1 debut winner was Verdane who is an older sibling to Ochos Rios. OR might be a rabbit but clearly one to assess in PRev and either of the Evans pair could be ew punts.

=== Post Race ===

Fast Time but fast conditions and a lot of NRs on the day because of the fast going (only 4 of the 11 declared ran in the Listed race on the card). Average Pace with Husbandry attended by Arctic Flower and some pulling behind. Rail out miles and racing in centre track or much of the race and some extra distance covered because of the RH turn of the HS (not noted by the CoC).

Faster time helped by a strong last 2f effort fromt he first 3 home and pulling clear of the others. Presume all 3 are 80+. Gutaifan the bulkiest of the 3 and promising for 85+. Husbandry under-rated in VRev when green on debut. Solid medium but strongly built. Ok for 80+. Operative perhaps the tallest of the 3 but less neatly made (tails off behind) and a less correct mover than the other pair. Operative leading the other pair into the last 2f but always a bit head forward and up while rolling around a bit when under pressure. Fading back in the last 0.5f. Solid 75+ and shoild get to 80 if he can improve his movement.

Runs of Thaqaffa & Opera Baron putting further context into the quality of the the War Department race at LEIC, behind the Coventry declared winner. Both looking a a bit smaller and shorter & less good movers than the 3 going clear. Looking sub-75 nursery types on the paceless efforts here (presume might need slower tests or further).

Not much of interest behind. Showmethewayavrilo getting from rolling around in last to a staying on volunteer 5th. Doing it by running straight with a lot of rolling around from other behind. Looking a short one but bulky enough. Trainer does get development winners and SMTWA showing enough to be low 60s usable. Ochos Rios a bit taller but narrow and light bodied and too green to compete.

Problems noted with Peak Hill's movement in his Breeze video seem in evidence here. PH going ok to halfway at the average pace. But, when asked to pick up as the pace upped he rolled around and got very unbalanced, dropping last and seeming to get very tired early or 'giving up'.

Some interest in Bingo George running as the Balding 'other one'. Worst puller in behind then too green to pick up in the last 2f. Given the way Husbandry improved to STO here then BG presumably will be ready STO. A niggle that he is just a neat & medium ne and perhaps around 70 on power size.
