=== Pre Race ===

Bear Faced the 6th runner in Prescott's first batch of 2yos which are usually all competitive juvenile types. He has already shown he has more 2yo promise in 2015 than an empty 2014 with 2 x FTO wins from his first 5 debuts. One of those wins in a truly appalling quality seller. His first STO was beaten in a photo finish giving weight and he has another solid STO prospect on the day. In 215 he notes BF is a January foal who will be in work soon and should be in the early batch of 2yos. Also saying that BF will probably be "speed or bust". With typical realism, but unusual to hear from a trainer.

Clever Bob expensive for trainer Tuite from the Goresbridge sales. Trainer has continued to look reliable in getting the best out of cheaper ones in 2015. How will he go with more expensive kit? Pre sale video Clever Bob underwhelming. Looking a small one if a balanced mover. Some ok depth and strength in front but in context of a smaller frame. Lighter and a negative behind. Looks like a cheap small one Tuite normally gets in that Video. Breeze Video not explaining why the €60k price. Looking 'fine' for his size. Rolls along ok in a balanced style and a middling cadence. Nothing particularly 'wrong' but a bit of knee action and middling pac and not looking any better, or zippier, than his physical set-up.

Kristoff a cheap buy at the Doncaster Breeze sale in later April. Breeze Video making £15k look a bit expensive. A small one with a bit on length but too small. Wanders throught he breeze with the Front & Back legs working out of synch and out of line and jinking left and right at points. Slower and disorganised and lacking power. What's to like?

Stormy Antarctic expensive at Tatts premier 2yo sale. Breeze Video only 23secs and stars with a long shot. Less exciting than the price. Medium sized and bulky. Above average rane. Works though the breeze and ok but never fully flowing. Slightly above average cadence but looks more balanced with a slower turnover later on and not a full sprinter.

Breeze Video for Flying Empress showing an untypical one by the sire. Smaller and short neck but lacking the depth and strength of the sire's better ones. Hard to see what £60k was for on that. Can only presume it was a fast time breeze. Once moving puts her head down and uses a fast action and zips along ok for 1f+. But starting to break up in the last 0.5f of the 2f. Lacking power overall and the zip anything more than 'cheap speed'?

=== Post Race ===

[June 30th] Bear Faced running at end of first batch of Prescott 2yos so at least a 50/50 chance of being a usable one. Had been first declared back on June 5th and that early running has to be usable. Described in 215 as "speed or bust". Green, way attitude and not fit in the prelims. Driven along throughout in the race as if the experieince too much. In PRev short and bulky with some length. Looking more a develop project than one to blossom STO but check the set-up at CHEP. Show more than the Market expects STO?
