G in early am as on Decs. Watering as 10mm previous Weds & 5-7mm Thu. No info about rain. Ran Showers forecast for the Day.

CoC quote = "Rail has been dolled out 15 feet from the 6 furlong bend to the winning post, adding approximately 12 yards to all races". The CoC at BTON would say this rail out made no change to the race distances.

Stiff- WSW wind = X-Wind uphill & 1/2 Tailwind in the last 2f.

Leading Pair pressing on together after 1.5f to be clear of the others at Hf. Filed closing up before 2f out and the bend to the HS.

No obvious excuse for Secret Ambition but a poor run. Started ok but unable to go with the leading pair as they stretched the pace uphill. Driven along by 2.5f out and dropping back through the field on the turn to the HS. Moderate Response if never looking like he faded. Looked more like a physical or attitude issue. SA backing off and a bit head up and thinking throughout the race. Not stretching out in front (not looking like a MaJo head-down trier, for eg). Probably just average size in the field.
