SUMMARY
GF by Race Time. GFG in early am from GGF on decs.

=== Pre Race ===

Breeze Video for John H The Lawman showing a smaller medium one with length. Medium build. Ok balance set-up. Starts breeze by jinking left past the timing equipment at the breeze start (a number of breezers do this across the whole set so far). Runs straight and sees the breeze out but a below average cadence and middling range. Doesn't move like a 5f type and a smaller 7f+ galloper. Why start at 5f? 4th debut runner of season for returning trainer Thompson after 2 in June. Previous FTOs all breeze buys and none have achieved a positive rating on debut.

=== Post Race ===

Moderate race on profile but a solid performance by the winner. Sandra's Secret underestimated in size to some extent in her flawed debut here. Slow break and ran free FTO and veering around Left-Right-Left at different point in first 1.5f to be last. Showed promise in being able to keep going well enough to get into the group. But, better than the VRev take of 'small trier' unless she has developed a lot since. That free running turned into a professional move to move across from a Centre draw to lead on the rail just before 1f run and then strech the pace and put everything else under pressure. Able to find a bit of a kick and showing the same baility to extend the effort a bit longer than typical. Presume she is a 70+ zippy one who will get 75+ and compete averagely for a while in the North off that. But, precocious type who will fade back in OR at some point in the season.

Anagallis a good reference as a solid 60s type and running competently here and trying hard. Ran to a lower rating than she could have done by trying to follow the leader's pace. Seems ok for 64-5 area.

With the two fillies putting Pace pressure intot he race nothing else getting into it. Ponty Royale running competently to her level. Bond's Tricks broken by pace chasing and looking a smaller neat one compared to the first 2 fillies. Mild interest in Twentysvnthlancers who showed some of the same promise that the winner did FTO at the course. Slow and hang left break from the widest stall, XB in last pair, making progress into the group in the last 2f and blocked unable to find a gap for much of the last 1f. TSLancers shorter type but with some bulk. Low level stuff but should have more potential than he showed here.

Having talked trainer Barron up in the 2014 season review he has had a poor season so far. Possibly just because he has only shown the lesser types so far. The question being whether he has any better ones to show. Milde promise from Magical Spring to be, for example, similar level or a bit better than Ponty Royale. Slightly slow left hand break from middle stall then running too free. Hauled back to midfield to settle which might have helped given the pace set overall. Not showing anything above the general level but still trying hard in the last 1f and showing the right attitude.
