SUMMARY
FGF in early AM from F on Decs. GStick reading published this time at 9.2 which seems a big change from the 10.6 reported on Saturday. Rain during Sunday but only changes Going from F to FGF? 1.4 Range in GStick Reading giving the same Going Description, apart from the odd 'places'.

Medium Southerly Wind = Mostly a X-Wind from the Left.

Rail Out 24yds around the bottom bend and between the 4f & 3f marker. No Estimate given by the CoC of the Extra Distance this adds to the race.

=== Pre Race ===

Take The Helm a Medium size in the Yearling Video. Deep enough bodied. Overall impression though of a somewhat 'Bits & Pieces' set-up and not that neatly made. Front and back half not really linked with some extra body length. Effect of that not helped by a belly. Moves ok in Front but a bit of trudging behind just placing the hoof and no drive. Neck a bit short and weak. Looks ok for at least 70 on size & build but PRev needs to check how he has developed. Neater made now?

Unilit's last Work Video from April 28th as one of 4 x 2yos working with a Lead Horse. Medium pace uphill and no real kick at the finish. In the breeze is Kassia who is supposed to be very good and travels easily and wanders through to lead at the finish unpressed. Unilit doing best of the others looking smaller than Kassia and scrubbed along to try to keep with her. Hard to judge. Other Work Video from April 10th and Unilit one of 3 unraced fillies with a lead horse. Again looking the smallest of the 3 but probably goes best with the other pair more green. Looks like an uncomplicated smaller one who makes the most of herself.

Captainthunderbolt cost £57k but you could suggest that was a touch 'cheap' given the success of the dam's first foal. Yearling Video underwhelming and the Captain not looking like the bigger and strong Extortionist. Not a typical shorter stongly built one by the sire with a bit of extra body length. Smaller one and just middling build and a so-so set-up. Longer Neck. Sleepy or unwilling attitude. No snap to the movement.

=== Post VRev ===

Slowish Time given the conditions. Another race at the course where the Pace seemed too strong without being entirely out-of-hand. 4 of the first 5 home ran prominently and all rolling home tired. Only the smaller Unilit going forward a bit having been held up off the pace. The 4 poor ones in the field entirely broken by trying to compete and finishing miles back. Following race won by a 7yo OR52 gelding in 62.21s who ran mid division and beat the leader.
