In 215 Dascombe states Gambit is the "biggest" horse he has ever bought and that he weighs 550kg. The correct word is heaviest, and 'biggest' just gets every mixed up in the usual imprecise trainer world. Where, perhaps a majority, use 'big' to mean bulky and some use it to mean Tall, some use it to mean both and many use it inconsistently even within the same conversation. Said Gambit wold need longer distances and he would be happy with a couple of runs at 2yo. On comparing the yearling videos would prefer Gambit to Altarsheed by some margin. Over their whole careers. Gambit lacking length but deep and strong and moves well and balanced at the walk. Atltarsheed a bit less good in most areas and shorter and less bulky. So long as Gambit isn't plain slow he does have the scope to still be developing 3-4yo.
