- Took over the licence at his father Jack's stables in 2000. His father has been notable for concentrating on 2yo racing and getting wins from early season. The stable strength and results has declined badly since 2002 including being investigated by the BHA & City Of London Police. This was for allegedly running 2yo filly Hillside Girl in 2003 when she was known to be lame and laying her to lose via the Betting Exchanges. This case was dropped in early 2008 as part of the unravelling of the City Of London Police investigations following the collapse of the high profile case against Kieren Fallon and his co-defendants.
- Following the decline of the stable strength and success in recent years he said that he only had 40 of the 116 boxes at his Cockerham yard occupied which was uneconomic. 2009 a new low with no win from 111 runs by 20 individual 2yos.
