Easy Victory review – Having come with such high expectations of Tropical rock it was a surprise to find myself unhesitatingly deserting her for Easy Victory.

Easy Victory – appeared in the pre-parade before the preceding race and immediately filled the eye. Big, strong, athletic and very fit. Won without use of the whip other than a flick to kick in the acceleration. A special one. 100+

Tropical Rock – As noted before good size, well made, strong. 90

Grand Myla – Very odd to see this one staying on amongst such high class opposition. Must be a natural speedster. No bigger than a large Irish Wolfhound, Strongly made in her tiny frame and simply fit enough to outrun a lot of less well prepared ones on debut. 73

Island In The Sky – Just ok build, tall, a bit leggy medium, 77

Glitter Girl – Lightly made and weak at the shoulder. Needs to grow up 75

Suffragette City – Only a poor photo and no notes, Lower medium and not taken the eye. Just an average sort I think. No real show in two races so far although ran on ok today. 73

Bouquet Des Flores – Lots of excuses made but after 2f she was only 2l down on Easy Victory and finished 3l down, not hard ridden. One simple reason, she was fat. Big strong filly, not as tall as Easy Victory but deeper throughout her body without appearing quite so athletic. Improve a lot for this 94

Mythical Spirit – Lwr medium, lengthy with some scope. Suggestion of boxyness and weaker hind quarters. 74

Marwa – Lightish frame, lower medium. Not ready, more typical Ed Dunlop than some this season. 73

Cadela Rica – Did not look out of place in terms of size, probably full medium to a bit more. Just plainly made and lacking fine tuning, might be Gay’s good one this season although they usually show more. 74
