Mutawakked review – Didn’t see this coming and have to think that Deningy has his problem between his ears. One wonders if Kirby bringing him up the rail at Ascot fto trying to squeeze through was all about him not wanting to be in front and running better amongst horses. Abergavenny 1, Dubai O.

In the paddock it was hard to get past Deningy, most of the others either not fit or not ready other than Mutawakked.

Mutawakked – Hmm, my down rating on 2to now looks unjustified, however I don’t think he is much more than a 75-77, good attitude. Lwr medium, in good condition, not that strongly made but decent back end although a bit over-round. 77

Deningy – Tallest but not the strongest in the field. Rangy look but not higher class. Looked very well tuned. Pretty sure that his failure to win was about attitude. 80 but not to be trusted.

Prazeres – Lower medium, compact and athletic little chap. Lacking a bit of heft although well muscled and close to full fitness. 74

Warrior’s Spirit – The money for this must have just been searching for a home and the Hannon stable looked the best place to go. Quite a big boy but downhill and not fully tuned for debut. Strolled around the paddock without a care. 79

Sfumato – Hasn’t lost enough weight yet to compete and shift himself properly and 6f looks much to short. Perhaps this is a Charlton plot for a 7f or 8f race down the line. Not sure if my high rating on debut was justified as he has a touch of the Dray Horse about him. Wouldn’t want to back him unless I’d seen him hopping fit, maybe he is just too stuffy. 80

Feel The Vibes – A lot smaller than Warrior’s Spirit and looked a tad readier. Fair set up but size limited and perhaps only 74

Hidden Stash – Small and something a bit questionable about him, possibly on the tubular side. 70

Glorious Power – Close to as big as Warrior Spirit. I’m tired of writing another Charlie Hills Fat one, yet it was the same story here. Note says no condition, coat dull, flabby, what is going on? 74
