Henry Candy interviewed before the later 3yo maiden by the Orange Clown & briefly threw into the conversation that he doesn't have an all-weather gallop at home. Therefore his 3yo maiden had done all it's work on grass. Which perhaps explains the variable start times for his 2yo runners. For example, what were his 2yos doing in Jan-Mar this year (& into Apr) with snow & cold temps? Sounds like they wouldn't have done more than walking & a bit of Indoor School work. Does he never use AW at home or does he box some down to the Lambourn open gallops?
