 G by 10:30am after 4mm of rain.. GGF from G on Decs. GStick 10:30am unpdated from 7.7 at 09:15am.

19DegC. Stiff NW Wind = Close to 1/2 Headwind from Right HS.

Worth noting the divots the horses were kicking up in the straight after the morning rain and ground getting cut up. A number looked to be unbal & floundering when asked to make efforts to chase AMaria & Qawaasem who had been allowed an easy time in 1st & 2nd from early on. Loose ground? Valen looking most uncmf of going & not tv well in str. Also on rail with others outside leaning on her and cut-up late. Head-on also reminds how the 'Str' is on a bend and Valen also being squeezed where the rail sticking out and not aligned smoothly. Interesting to see whether Valen goes better on firmer and more consistent ground NTO. The 'Invisible' Dettori (as he has been since his May return) being invisible at the back and holding MAngel up in a race where the leaders never stopped. Has he been reading too much about Spencer on his year off?

Despite the rain & 'Good' this a faster time. Also into a 1/2 headwind. Rails fully in which make a difference. Also good compared to following Hcap won by OR90 rated Magic City (getting back to the level he showed FTO at 2yo as a 4yo) who ran 85.08s carrying 1lbs less than AM. Putting [Est] up ok apart from Halljoy. The usual CEB problem. Perhaps he can finally retire and stop involving others in his State of Confusion.
