Charlton website pre-race = "Be Seeing You runs in the second division of the maiden race at 4.40 pm and is a big colt measuring over 16hh, bred and owned by one of my neighbours James Stewart, WellSummers Stud. He is a half brother to several winners including the smart Hatta Fort and he looks as if he will make a better three year old."

See note about Channon gallops in Div I. Keep Close one of the pair from 30th Aug gallop unable to keep up with Characterise and one other.

Nothing wanting to lead early and slow start but picked up by+1f with Berrahri pulling to a clear lead and jk unable to hold him fully and Exchequer puling to a clear 2nd. Pace settled after Hf to allow field to bunch up a little for 2F sprint and Berrahri (hard pressed), Exchequer & Kingston Hill in a Leading line by then with latter pair going Cmf. Field had raced Stds Sd just off stds rail but 1st 3 hung left in last 2F with the full on efforts to finish beyoud centre line with Exchequer stalling late and falling across to Far Rail at line as KHill finished off better. Berrahri a soft lead but did produce the 3rd best effort and a solid one to finish clear 3rd and finishing 7f off ok. Others outpaced-2f to various degrees with 4-6th home all just looking slow against ldg 3 and po with Marengo MvAwk & HgL a bit before-1f. Jersey Royal & Be Seeing You prob uit 8f NTO on po at their own pace efforts.
